Trying to integrate custom date fields from JIRA to Productboard, in the past I was able to integrate JIRA date fields to Productboard text fields, now the only option is to sync it with Timeframe, if that is the only option, how can I make sure it is synced only one way? (Only from JIRA to Productboard)?

Hi @Merav Amir Cohen you can only sync dates to the timeline and this is either one time sync from Productboard to JIRA (on push, link, or import) or via two-way sync.

JIRA date sync

The field mapping is:

Productboard JIRA
Timeframe: Start Jira Issue Start Date
Timeframe: End Jira Issue Due Date

Can you tell us a bit more about why you need to use a custom date field?

Interesting, is it the case that all JIRA fields are mapped to specific productboard fields @scott.baldwin ? I am not the admin of my PB account, but we do use the Jira integration. It’s implemented in a ‘light touch’ way (we use the description, ticket name and number, and status fields at the moment).

We do this to remove the duplication of work, updating PB automatically when JIRA is updated.

@Parveen Downer not all fields need to be mapped across the two systems. Your Productboard admin will setup the field mapping in the JIRA integration settings in Productboard as well as the sync options. This article contains a full list of the field mappings between the two systems if you want to check in with your team: https://support.productboard.com/hc/en-us/articles/11072421248403
