Hi, Once you’ve pushed a feature to an epic in clubhouse, what is the process for dealing with updates. I want to make sure that everything in in sync between the two platforms without having to duplicate what I’ve written. For example, I push a feature to clubhouse, as we are breaking down the work, we identify a few additional considerations we want to note at the epic level. I want to make sure that clubhouse and productboard are in sync with the epic/feature descriptions. I can’t see a way of syncing from Clubhouse to PB and I also can’t seem to push an update from PB to clubhouse for an existing linked epic. Is there anyway of doing this currently? ThanksAlice
We’re considering using Productboard’s Portal feature to share and get feedback from our customers on our public-facing Roadmap. If you use the Portal feature, do you have any recommendations for how to get the most out of it or pitfalls to avoid? If you don’t use the Portal feature and use something else instead, can you share which tool and why you went with an alternative? Thanks!

When processing feedback from notes that were created through the Salesforce integration upon Opportunity close, we’re able to get an aggregate “opportunity value” based on opportunity fields in salesforce. This is nice because we can prioritize features based on the sum of ARR, for example, across opportunities that have insights linked to that feature. But, it also means that the opportunity value is only populated when you process notes that come directly from Salesforce upon opportunity close– but none of our notes our processed that way today. Feedback is not typically stored on the Opportunity object in salesforce. Instead- our team submits feedback to a typeform that is sent to Productboard and then our PM team processes it manually. What we really need is an aggregate “Account Value” column on the features tab. The account value column would show the sum of a custom company field, like ARR, across all the companies that have feedback tied to that feature. Is there a way to enabl
Hi, We are just launching the product portal to our customers. We would like to track its usage (google analytics) to understand is the investment worth it. Is there anyway to insert GA codes in it? or any other tracking code (e.g. Segment, Gainsight PX, etc). Thanks, Yariv
Hi,I was just wondering whether it’s currently possible for makers to be able to define templates for contributors creating notes for feedback? If it’s not currently possible, is this something under consideration? One thing we’ve struggled with in the past is feedback being far too vague and resulting in a lot of back and forth to get at the true underlying need or request. I’m sure this is not unique to us! We recently addressed this by providing a list of questions and prompts at the point of feedback and it has really helped the quality of the insights being sent through to the product team. Not revolutionary, but effective. I know we are able to connect forms or other formats through the various integrations but I’m keen to get our customer-facing teams more connected with ProductBoard and using it directly where possible. I would be very keen to hear any anecdotes on how people have worked to improve the kind of feedback coming through to product teams & how they’ve used Produ
I am fairly new to productboard so sorry if this is a simple question. I have been playing around with using subfeatures and love that the roll up the insights impact score to the parent feature. I have noticed a couple other things that do seem a bit odd and want to know if that is by design When looking at feature view we can see the sub features however when looking at roadmap with features grouped as hierarchy view it doesn't appear anywhere (Yes view sub features is clicked ) You can see them once you click the parent feature and go to insights but not sure what we are doing wrong as i feel like they should show. It also appears that Tags automatically go onto parent as well. This is useful for most times however there are certain situations where it makes sense on the sub feature but not the parent such as if there is a specific team that is working something or another custom tag if you will Also feel free to point me to documentation or another chat if this has
After linking with Jira…Now we have Two statuses for every feature/Epic… the one coming from jira and the features status in PB.What’s your flow on that? Also, does “filter by jira status column” shows duplicate status like ours? Seems like a challenging exercise to define a consistent flow without lots of manual cleanup
Are there some best practices for setting up teams on the Productboard? How do you ensure that -- what different team members are seeing and hearing from customers and the market -- are captured and not lost? Because if that information is lost, then the signals from inadequate or imperfect data will also be biased and could mislead the prioritization process! For example, do you get support, customer success, marketing, and sales teams to diligently capture feedback from customers and prospects into Productboard? Also, how do you process and file the feedbacks appropriately? I imagine the product team does that? Sometimes a large number of unprocessed ones pile up. How do you stay on top of that? Any team cadence you follow? Thanks!Rajeev
Hey product people I’m curious if anyone is using Productboard to create Story Maps?I figure there are two ways at it;On the feature board: switch to a “Release view”, filter the features down to something they have in common, assign the features to releases On the roadmap board: switch to “Customizable swimlanes” and create one for each major feature / epic… then, filter the features down to something they have in common, assign features to releases within the swimlanes On both occasions the story maps would run left to right, whereas traditional story maps run top to bottom.Has anyone successfully created a top to bottom story map in Productboard?
I want to assign Teams to Features so that I can have roadmap and feature views filtered or organised by the teams that are assigned to them.At the moment, I can’t find a way to use Teams for Swimlanes in Roadmaps, which feels like a reasonable place to use them?I know there is a workaround by using Teams as a custom dropdown, but that then means updating team ownership in 2 places for each feature, and then constantly updating / monitoring them, plus having two different places to manage ‘Teams’ within ProductBoard, and tbh feels a bit backward. At the moment I can only associate Teams to Objectives, (not to Features). I see that this means that features inherit ownership if they are associated to an objective, so in some circumstances, it’s possible to filter by Teams but not all features will always be associated with an objective, or, often Features are associated with multiple objectives, the objectives may be ‘owned’ by multiple teams but one team is driving the feature so should
Hi,I want to be able to get a direct link (deeplink) to a specific feature… So that if I send the URL to someone (including myself) I can navigate directly to it. As an example - in this dropdown, having an option “Share” or “get Link” will generate a URL and then clicking on that URL will get me back to PB with this feature in expand mode :)Is there another way to do this?
I can see that SSO is on the embed tab, I’m wondering if we can setup for custom domain too? Ideally I would like to use a custom domain rather than embedding. If not possible could someone please explain why this is happening when try to embed the portal.
Ok, we are all deep into the life of Productboard living.. creating, iterating, iterating again, releasing, etc.We love Productboard and all it’s amazing features. I want to know what is everyone’s favorite Productboard hack to make their lives easier?Do you use tagging for release filters before it makes it into a feature? Are you using Collections to separate insights from customer service v product team?Let’s dive deep and share all the knowledge so we can amplify our product building with this amazing tool!
Ever since the ProductLeaders slack group was removed last night, I have some Slack notifications that I can’t dismiss. I suspect they’re somehow related to that community being inaccessible and new notifications happening before I could acknowledge them. Anyone know how to resolve this? Is there any back-door way to get back into the slack group just to dismiss these notifications?
We have a great event coming up with Cprime talking about PB&J (not the sandwich 🥪but Productboard and JIRA) We’d love to hear how are you using Productboard and Jira together to have everyone focused on the right tasks, while also keeping each team and system in sync.
Anyone else struggle with getting customize portals working? Our Devops lead can’t seem to get this going as we need 3 shared portals after following the instructions. I initially added CNAMEs for the above 3 and pointed to portal.productboard.com and they worked, but had the "no SSL" error as explained in tutorials:https://support.productboard.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058173433-Customize-your-Portal-s-domainhttps://support.productboard.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060271434I then went to CloudFront and created a distribution with origin portal.productboard.com I changed my 3 CNAME entries to point to the d...w.cloudfront.net. DNS entry in CloudFront. Now when I visit https://web.followupboss.com I just get an error page.I feel like I need different values in either or both of the CloudFront Origin ID and/or Origin Path, but am not seeing any answers to that in the support docs. Will I ultimately need 3 CloudFront distributions (one for each of web, android, iphone)? Can you clarify the Cloud
With a growing customer base. more ideas coming in from our portal and a growing product team I have started seeing more cases where a Note/Insight has been linked to one or more features, but left unprocessed and unknown if the customer has been contacted (as there is no in-app 1:1 communication with customer users we email from our company email client). In cases like this I have to @-mention my product team to ask who linked it, didn’t process it, and ask why and if they contacted the customer already (per our process).Long intro, what I’m asking for here is a better audit log of all actions. Today I can see who processed the Note, but I cannot see who linked insights to features unless they manually leave a comment.
