Hey Productboard team!

As a team we would love to know who interacts with our roadmap so we didnt want to have the link public without capturing who visits it. So in order to gate it we build a landing page that captures an email and sends a private link the subscriber.

However, anyone can share that private link after. Would be great if this was built in Productboard. Make users signup or provide an email before viewing the portal so we can capture this info somewhere.

@Samkay to confirm, are you thinking of this for roadmaps or for portal? We have roadmap sharing that allows you to share your roadmap as well as portal.

Our team might want to dig into this more so tagging @Michael.Stencl and @Kami

Gotcha, that portal card is about roadmap sharing, not portal though, hence my confusion.

@Samkay thank you for sharing your use case and needs. For now, you can use password protection when sharing your roadmap. In this case, anytime the link is shared user needs to enter the password. Would this be suitable to solve your needs? For customers on higher plans (Enterprise) we do capture product analytics related to visitors of these publicly shared roadmaps, so via Customer Success Manager we can provide data such as source of access (e.g. URL referrer) and any other information that is provided by client accessing the public roadmaps. hi @miro_remias is password protection available for the portal? or just the roadmap view. the password solution wont be optimal for us, ideally the password can be shared and we wont be able to identify who is viewing the roadmap.

Hi @Samkay, the password is only available for Roadmaps at the moment - however, you can share the password and visitors can view the roadmap anonymously.
