Analytics for Web tools

Hello product people !


We have a B2B platform that has a Web based tool that is used by call centers and operational teams. We a currently use Mixpanel as analytics tool, but we have around 10000 users and it is quite expensive for what we use of it. Is there any analytics tool that you advise us to use for such a product ?

I think it depends on your use case.  What type of analytics are you looking to capture?

What we are looking to capture is which pages, buttons, tables etc are used the most and identify funnels that we could work on them after in order to reduce the steps that our users do in order to perform certain actions.

Google Analytics should be able to provide that level of detail - Usage Stats, Exit/Bounce Rates, Time spent on a page.

There are many other analytics tools out there that will do the same and it comes down to cost and effort/value.



Product usage analytics tools can get quite expensive fast. A few of my favorites that I have used in the past:

  • FullStory
  • Hotjar

Though you might find some monthly cost savings, you might find that the work of switching eats up any possible cost savings.
