I'm excited to announce that we’ve just released Customer Portal UI Localization to Labs on Scale and Enterprise plans.

 

What is new?

  1. There’s a new Customer Portal language dropdown under Portal settings where admin Makers can select which language to use on their customer facing portals (i.e. those shared under Public or Private link).

  2. System-generated strings including Portal copy, buttons, and emails will be automatically translated.

  3. On the other hand, user-generated Portal content, such as portal card title and description, tabs, sections will need to be translated by you.

Why is it valuable?

  1. Nowadays, many companies have an international reach or operate in non-English speaking markets. Having a customer-facing Portal in your customers' language allows you to make the communication between makers and customers smoother than ever.
